Navjeevan Trust

Navjeevan Trust, established in 1980, is a public charitable trust registered under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Initially registered in Kutch district, the Trust was later transferred to Rajkot for operational convenience, ensuring better coordination of its outreach across Saurashtra and Kutch. Elevated as the Social Work Department of the Diocese of Rajkot, Navjeevan Trust is recognized for its accountability and transparency, holding 12A and 80G certifications from the Income Tax Department, along with FCRA and CSR-1 registrations from the Government of India.
Committed to the advancement of education, health, livelihood, culture, and social and economic development, the Trust has been instrumental in forming and strengthening community-based organizations (CBOs), addressing poverty, and providing relief during natural calamities such as cyclones, floods, droughts, and earthquakes. With an expansive operational network covering 428 villages, 38 blocks, and 124 slums, the Trust functions through two coordination offices, 49 field offices, and 29 sister concerns to implement sustainable development initiatives.
Over the years, Navjeevan Trust has transformed the lives of over 100,000 individuals through its impactful programs. These focus on education, preventive healthcare, women empowerment, youth development, livelihood promotion, relief for the poor and vulnerable, and environmental sustainability. The Trust has served as a beacon of hope for marginalized groups, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and migrants, promoting their rights and fostering self-sustaining communities.
Recognizing the changing social landscape post-COVID, Navjeevan Trust embarked on a comprehensive organizational development process in 2021 to address emerging challenges. With new FCRA guidelines restricting sub-granting, alongside the growing role of IT and management professionals in the social sector, Trust redefined its mission and equipped its team with new skill sets. Through introspection and strategic planning.

Today, Navjeevan Trust champions social transformation, striving to build a just, humane, and eco-friendly society where the most marginalized can live with dignity and empowerment. We firmly believe that self-transformation leads to social transformation, and we uphold the principle of people-led learning and leadership, empowering communities to shape their own futures
